Council Biographies 2011-2012

Morgan Adams is a Co-Chair of the Events Committee of the Bronx Prep Council. She is a graduate of St. Andrews University in Scotland with past language study of Russian, Chinese, and Arabic. Morgan has been a member of the Bronx Prep Council since 2010.

Elizabeth Dodson

Jonathan Goldstein is a Co-Chair of the Events Committee of the Bronx Prep Council.

Olga Gorodetsky is an analyst at PointState Capital, specializing in securitized products. Prior to joining PointState Capital, Olga served in the same role at Duquesne Capital Management. She began her career at Lehman Brothers in the Securitized Products Strategy. Olga holds a BA in international studies and a BS in economics with a concentration in finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Olga has been a member of the Council since 2007.

Sterling Grey

Kate Hensel is Project Coordinator in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Diseases, Columbia University Medical Center.  Prior to joining the Department of Pediatrics, she served as Research Assistant in the Center for Urban Epidemiologic Studies, New York Academy of Medicine.  She also conducted research for Treatment Action Campaign in Cape Town, South Africa.  Kate is a PhD candidate in Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University.  She also received her MPH from the Mailman School of Public Health.  She holds a BS in Afro-American and African Studies from the University of Michigan. Kate has been a member of the Council since 2010.

Tracy Hoyos is Chair of the Volunteer Committee of the Bronx Prep Council. She joined the Council in 2011.

Lisa Lucas is the Director of Education at the Tribeca Film Institute. Under her direction for the past seven years, TFI’s educational initiatives have grown to include year-round youth programming comprised of educational screenings, youth development and in-school arts education (which launched at Bronx Prep!). Since their inception in 2005, these programs have served thousands of NYC public school students.  Lucas is from Teaneck, NJ and holds a BA from the University of Chicago. Prior to joining the Tribeca Film Institute she worked in the non-profit theater world, holding positions at Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago and at TADA! Youth Theater in New York. Lisa has been a member of the Bronx Prep Council since 2009.

Kristen Macleod is a Vice President in Foreign Exchange Sales at Goldman Sachs. Kristen has been with the firm for 8 years, including a 2-year assignment in Tokyo. She graduated from Duke University in 2003 with a BA in Public Policy and Economics, and now lives in New York City with her husband Matt and dog Derby. She has been a member of the Bronx Prep Council since 2004.

Emily Milligan

Anne Rabbino is the Upper School Division Head at St. Hilda’s & St. Hugh’s School, an independent day school for students in Beginner-8th grades on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. She has been a member of the Bronx Prep Council since 2009.

David Roman is a Vice President in Global Investment Research covering the US Medical Device industry at Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, David worked in equity research at Morgan Stanley. David also serves as the head of Penn recruiting at Goldman and is a division captain for the firm’s Community TeamWorks program. David earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004.

Peter Stein is a Project Officer for Time To Know.  Prior to joining Time To Know he was a New York City Teaching Fellow teaching 6th grade humanities on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.  He began his professional career with Accenture where he worked as a consultant for over 3 years.  He holds a BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania.  He volunteers with Read Alliance and City Harvest.

Courtney B. Thomas is a Co-Chair of the Bronx Prep Council. He is a corporate attorney specializing in distressed debt and lending transactions at Richards Kibbe & Orbe LLP. He began his professional career as an attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Courtney has a J.D. from New York University School of Law. He also holds a B.A. in English Literature from the Duke University.  He is an active member of Legal Outreach.

Ben Tishler is an Emmy Award Winning Director, Producer and Writer, and the president of Yardwork Films. His work has appeared on NBC,HBO, CBS, ESPN & VH1, among others. Ben began his career in entertainment as an apprentice to Writer-Director David Mamet. He was born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts and holds a BA in English from Duke University. In addition to his work with the Bronx Prep Council, he is also actively involved with Seeds of Peace, an organization that works to empower young leaders in regions of conflict worldwide.

Lisa Zhang is a Co-Chair of the Bronx Prep Council. She is an Associate at J.P. Morgan. Since May 2010, she has worked on strategy and business management for the global marketing team at the Private Bank. Prior to this role, Lisa worked in institutional sales for J.P. Morgan Asset Management in Chicago, IL. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Legal Studies from Northwestern University.
