Dear Bronx Prep community:

I am pleased to announce two important decisions from last night’s Bronx Prep Board of Trustees meeting. First, the Board voted to remove the Trustee Oversight Committee, which was created last summer to assist with the transition of the school’s new leadership. Second, the Board appointed Ms. Edwina Branch-Smith as Bronx Prep’s permanent Head of School. Ms. Branch-Smith will also continue as Interim High School principal. Both decisions reflect the Board’s confidence in Ms. Branch-Smith’s leadership and the positive developments at Bronx Prep since her arrival in August.

In addition, at last night’s meeting the following officers of the Board of Trustees were approved: Board Chair: Nancy Garvey; Vice Chair: Kristin Kearns Jordan; Treasurer: Phil Wharton; and Secretary: Yuliana Kim-Grant.
